The Independent Bankers Association of Texas (IBAT) recently announced that Ronnie Miller, president and chief executive officer of Community National Bank in Hondo, now serves as chair of the IBAT Services board of directors, as well as chairman-elect of the IBAT board, both for a 2017–18 term.
He officially accepted the IBAT board chairman-elect position last October at the association’s convention in Austin and became IBAT Services board chair following the December board meeting. Miller’s role as IBAT Services chair will help prepare him for his role as IBAT board chairman in 2018–19.
Miller began his community banking career in 1990 following 10 years in investment banking. He has been in his current position at Community National Bank for five years, after spending 10 years at Centennial Bank (formerly HCSB) in Kerrville as regional president for all Hill Country locations.
Miller has been an IBAT board member since 2012, serving on the strategic planning and budget committees. Most recently, he was secretary-treasurer of the board.
Active in his community, he currently serves on the Hondo Economic Development Board and is a member of the Hondo Chamber of Commerce.
Miller received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in finance from Texas Tech University.
